South Africans react to J’Something’s tribute to Uyinene Mrwetyana

South African singer J’Something has dedicated a heart-wrenching song to the late Uyinene Mrwetyana and South Africans have reacted.

The singer shared the video on his Instagram page and said that he wrote the song last year but had to wait for things to settle down for him to release the song.

Speaking on his relationship to the late Uyinene J’Something said he didn’t know her personally but just like the rest of South Africa he was moved by her tragic death.

‘Last year I wrote this song when a girl whom I didnโ€™t know tragically passed away and left all of us in shock and filled the nation with sadness.’ He wrote.

Many of his followers seem to be loving the emotional tribute. The comments section is filled with nothing but love with South Africans appreciating the song.

Uyinene Mrwetyana a 19-year-old University of Cape Town student was raped and murdered by Luyanda Botha in August last year.
