Wizkid slams Reekado Banks for promoting a song amid the #EndSARS Protest

Nigeria is in crisis right now as many citizens are demanding that the government must end the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (FSARS) and other Tactical Squads of the Nigeria Police Force that have been killing innocent Nigerians.

Many celebrities have joined the protests and have used their platforms to call out the government. One such celebrity is Wizkid, the singer has been vocal in the protest and he even decided to move the release date for his much-awaited album ‘Made In Lagos’ which was scheduled to drop on Thursday 15 October.

Another Nigerian singer Reekado Banks however decided to promote his new song, a collaboration with Wizkid despite Wizkid moving the release date of his own album.

Reekado Banks took to his Twitter account to announce that his collaboration with Wizkid titled ‘Omo Lomo’ was due to drop at midnight.

“Out of control, gbedu must drop. This one with my brother @wizkidayo “OMO OLOMO” midnight dropping,” He tweeted before adding “Still on the matter !!! #EndSWAT #EndSARS #EndPoliceBrutality”

The ‘Joro’ hitmaker slammed his fellow singer calling him a fool and a clout animal.

He wrote “Delete this dude! Can’t believe you’re even doing this at a time like this. Old song! #endsars fool! Clout animal”

The exchange was met with mixed feelings by Nigerian Twitter users who felt that although Reekado Banks’ timing was wrong, Wizkid was a bit too hash in his response.
